Observing Expert Colleagues in response to personal targets

It may be a useful strategy in response to your personal targets to conduct a formal observation of the English and Mathematics coordinators/subject leaders/teachers with subject specific expertise and follow up with a discussion about how the lesson was planned, how it will be assessed and evaluated and how pupil progress was implemented for different learners.

You may want to invite them to come and formatively observe some of your teaching to develop your subject knowledge.

This is not a formally directed task, as it can be difficult to gain access to these busy members of staff. However, it is an opportunity to pursue in order to further your own professional development in teaching these core areas of the curriculum.
