Planning and assessment folder

Section 1 School and Class Information

  • Your curriculum overview of the school
  • Class List
  • Any groups – this may not be applicable
  • Important Class Information e.g EAL/SEND/Additional Needs

Section 2: Planning This section should be subdivided and labelled into weeks and filed chronologically. You should include a section for preliminary days.

Each weekly section should contain:

  • A timetable for the week.
  • Lesson/Activity plans
    • These must be fully completed, including the evaluation of teaching
    • Also include a copy of activity sheets used during the lesson

Section 3: Assessment and Monitoring

You should include:

  • Your overview of the school
  • Portfolio of evidence for each focus child in:
    • English
    • Mathematics
    • Science

You will be using the expectations from the directed tasks and child observations

Section 4: Observations

  • Observations of teacher mentor/expert colleagues
  • Observations of specialists in English, mathematics and science
  • Any other evidence from directed tasks
  • Reflective notes for UA3
