Pupil Voice

A school council is where pupils come together to make a real difference. It’s not just any group; it’s a formal assembly of children who represent their fellow classmates. These enthusiastic young minds take on the role of liaising with the headteacher and staff, working tirelessly to discuss school matters that affect everyone. Think of it as a brilliant way of amplifying Pupil Voice within a school.

Schools may have a School Council and other associated groups, all with the aim of developing the school and making changes that are important to the children within it. You are expected to identify how Pupil Voice is utilised within your placement school and begin to identify its impact. The document below should be used to structure your enquiries and observations.
