The Curriculum Assessment and Review Document (CARD)
This document is to be used by mentors and trainees to support the weekly review discussion. It should be referred to when setting appropriate SMART targets.
At the end of phase 1, the ‘final report’ section should be completed by the mentor, trainee and a member of SLT before it is uploaded to the trainees’ OneDrive and emailed to pripgce@le.ac.uk.
A draft of the Weekly Review and Target Setting Record, including the weekly reflection and talk-through sections, should be completed by the trainee and given to the mentor before the weekly review meeting. At the meeting, SMART targets should be discussed and agreed on. The trainee must then finalise the Weekly Review and Target Setting Record and upload it on to their OneDrive.
Mentors will complete a formal observation once a week, using the Teacher Mentor Formative Feedback form. Verbal feedback will be given following the lesson and this will inform any targets discussed and agreed on during the weekly review meeting.
