These sections should be kept up to date throughout the placement for the mentor and visiting tutor to look at.

Section 1 School and Class Information

Section 2: Planning This section should be subdivided and labelled into weeks and filed chronologically. You should include a section for preliminary days.

Each weekly section should contain:

  • Weekly Timetable
  • Lesson/Activity Plans and evaluation
  • Tracking grids

Section 3: Observations and other Directed Tasks

  • Observations of expert colleagues (in response to your personal targets)
    • Teacher mentor
    • English
    • Phonics
    • Mathematics
    • Science
  • Observations of Focus Children
  • Directed Tasks

  • The same as Phase 2
